The Spotfin Reef Butterfly is a beautiful, eye-catching fish that is also simple to care for. Its striking coloration is characterized by a white body with bright yellow pelvic and caudal fins, and a narrow yellow bar that extends from the gill to the base of the pectoral fins. Additionally, a vivid black, vertical bar can be seen passing through the eye, and juveniles exhibit an extra dark spot on the base of the anal fins and a shadowy streak that leads to the small spot on the dorsal fin. This species is sure to be a great addition to any home aquarium!

The Spotfin Reef Butterfly is known for its dramatic nighttime changes. These changes include the development of a black and broad dorsal fin, the appearance of dark bands on the body, and the occasional squirting of water like a fountain above the waterline.
