The Orange-Back Fairy Wrasse is an ideal addition to any aquarium as it is a peaceful, active fish that is sure to add a splash of color. This wrasse is an excellent choice for a fish-only or reef aquarium of 90 gallons or larger as they do not bother any corals or invertebrates. It is important to note that these wrasses are known to jump, so ensuring that your tank is covered with a tightly-fitting canopy is highly recommended. Additionally, due to their peaceful nature, they can be kept in groups of one male with several females. This adds to the overall beauty and activity in the aquarium.
The diet of an Orange-Back Fairy Wrasse should ideally include a variety of vitamin-enriched frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and other meaty foods. To ensure a well-balanced diet, high-quality marine flake and pellet food should also be provided. To ensure their long-term health, it is important to feed them a variety of food items. Additionally, introducing live foods into the diet occasionally is beneficial. Supplementing with a good quality vitamin supplement is also recommended.
