The Gardneri Killifish are quite resilient and can be kept in a number of different water conditions. They particularly thrive in a heavily planted tank and softer, more acidic water. With the right environment, these fish will be very active, healthy, and beautiful. Additionally, their relatively small size and peaceful nature make them an excellent option for any community aquarium. Furthermore, they are very low maintenance and require minimal care and attention.

This species of Killifish is an ideal choice for beginner aquarists because of its easy breeding process. Its eggs do not need to be removed from the water after spawning, and it prefers to lay its eggs within a spawning mop or java moss. In addition, the eggs will hatch in about a month’s time, and the newborn fish can be fed live baby brine shrimp. Furthermore, the holding tank should be covered because these fish may attempt to jump. With the proper care, this species of Killifish can easily be bred and make an excellent addition to any aquarium.

Gardneri Killifish are one of the most active fish in the aquarium and will enjoy a variety of food options.
