The Blue Striped Tamarin Wrasse is an incredibly active fish, making a 180 gallon tank the absolute minimum for its health and wellbeing. This species is known to be hardy and easy to care for, with a diet of meaty foods and frozen mysid shrimp. It is important to provide plenty of live rock for hiding and foraging for food, as well as a tight-fitting lid to prevent the fish from jumping out of the tank. With its beautiful coloration and active personality, the Blue Striped Tamarin Wrasse is an excellent addition to any reef or fish-only display. Additionally, this species is not known to harm sessile invertebrates or corals, making it a great choice for a peaceful tank.
The Blue Striped Tamarin Wrasse is a carnivore and must be fed a variety of meats. To ensure its health and well-being, its diet should include vitamin-enriched frozen mysis shrimp, frozen brine shrimp, as well as other meaty foods such as chopped clams, krill, and squid. Feeding your Tamarin Wrasse a variety of foods will provide a balanced diet and ensure it remains healthy and vibrant. Additionally, it is important to feed your Tamarin Wrasse several small meals throughout the day instead of a single large meal. Doing so will help ensure the fish is properly nourished.
The approximate purchase size for a small, medium, or large size is 1″, 2″, or 3″, respectively.
