The Cherry Barb is a beautiful fish that will bring life and vibrancy to any aquarium. They thrive in an environment that is well-planted with plenty of space to swim and explore. Rocks and driftwood can be added to the aquarium as well to provide the fish with ample hiding places. To ensure their wellbeing, it is important to house them with fish of a similar temperament. A 30 gallon aquarium with soft, slightly acidic water is the preferred habitat of the Cherry Barb.
In order to successfully breed the Albino Cherry Barb, you must provide the necessary environment and food. Make sure to house a group of Barbs together until they pair off, and provide newly hatched brine shrimp to the fry for the first few days until they are large enough to accept crushed flake food. Additionally, you must be sure to monitor the aquarium to ensure the eggs are being fertilized by the male, and the fry are free-swimming after about 5 days. Lastly, be sure to maintain the aquarium with a stable pH and temperature to ensure the health and success of the breeding process.
The Albino Cherry Barb needs to be fed a variety of foods to keep it healthy and happy. This includes vegetables as well as meaty food. Feed a quality flake food as well as live and frozen foods such as brine shrimp and bloodworms.
